DIAGNOSTIC CHARACTERS (Taxonomic ) :
Characters : Small to medium lacewing; ground colour pale green.
Head : Yellowish in colour without any dark markings; mandibles dark brown; maxillary and labial palpi light brown. Antenna smaller than fore wing; scape and pedicel yellowish; flagellum brownish; setae dark brown.
Thorax : Greenish yellow; covered with yellowish hairs; pronotum as long as broad. Legs yellow; claws brown, basally dilated.
Fore wing : Elongated, oval in shape; membrane transparent without any markings; pterostigma pale brown; crossveins green in colour; hairs dark coloured.
Hind wing (Fig. B) : Smaller; costa more or less straight.
Abdomen (Figs. C, D) : Greenish yellow in colour.
Genitalia ♂ (Fig. E) : Large plate like arcessus; a membranous sac present in between gonarcus and arcessus; thick entoprocessus; equally thick 'U' shaped mediuncus; narrow gonarcus; gonapsis and tignum absent.
Genitalia ♀ : Subgenital plate bilobed (Fig. F); spermatheca weakly sclerotized; duct broad ventrally; ventral impression deep (Fig. G).
Measurements of one specimen ♂ : Length of fore wing 10.01 mm; length of hind wing 8.97 mm.

Remarks : Hölzel (1973) described this species under subgenus Cunctochrysa of the genus Anisochrysa. With the raising of genus Cunctochrysa by Aspöck (1980), the species went under genus Cunctochrysa. Hitherto a detailed description of the species based on Indian material has been given for the first time. The species is included under genus Retipenna Brooks due to presence of mediuncus and a membranous sac present in between gonarcus and arcessus. The species is reported for first time from West Bengal, India.
