With the raising of genus Cunctochrysa by Aspöck (1980), the species went under genus Cunctochrysa. Hitherto a detailed description of the species based on Indian material has been given for the first time. The species is included under genus Retipenna Brooks due to presence of mediuncus and a membranous sac present in between gonarcus and arcessus. The species is reported for first time from West Bengal, India.
